How good brand visuals can impact your business

We all want to have a beautiful and effective brand. But most people only think about their logo and forget about the other elements they can use.

My favourite of all is colour.

Did you know that people are more likely to recognise your brand if you use a distinct colour?

Incorporating a unique set of colours to your brand and all the visuals you provide (such as social media, website, printed materials and images) is THE best way to impact your business and stand out.

Let me walk you through a few examples:

This instagram page of Emily Jeffords uses lots of bright light and neutral tones. As you scroll through her feed you can see how all the images fit together to create her brand. This is also true on her website where she uses the same colour tones, which create a romantic and fresh mood that translates through in her text as well.

As another example we can use the page of my favourite illustrator Sha’an D’anthes (furrylittlepeach). Her work is bright and colourful, and so is everything else that she posts. Her display image includes a bright background which helps viewers understand that her page is bold and colourful. Even her captions are fun, friendly and engaging.

These are both great examples of how incorporating a unique set of colours and visuals to your brand will help it stand out!

Looking at someone’s social media profile is like window shopping, if the first 9 posts don’t catch the viewers attention, they are less likely to scroll down and click the follow button.

So the next time you are thinking about photography for your page, think about your brand colours and make sure to incorporate them in your images.

Solid visuals will impact your brand in a positive way and help you stand out from the crowd.
