When I was pregnant with my first son, we would go to Biella ( a neighbouring town, where I chose to give birth) for my last checkups. Each time in the car, I would look out and see these beautiful mountains and feel so at peace. I thought to myself, the day I go into labour I must look at these mountains and forget the pain of the contractions. I thought of them as my natural remedy. Funny thing was when I actually went into labour, I was in so much pain, lying down in the back seat upset I couldn’t find the strength to get up and look at the mountains. Luckily for me, I had a beautiful view of them from the delivery room.
